About

Welcome to my homepage. I hope you will find what you need – otherwise please get in touch. I am a freelance operatic singer based i Copenhagen, Denmark. I work in the fields of concert and opera. I enjoy interpreting great classics such as cantatas by Bach or the orchestral songs of Gustav Mahler – as well as diving into brand new music, often embodying some quite sinister ladies within the world of opera.

I have won some prizes in some international competitions (Concorso Musica Sacra, Rome 2013 and Concours de Chant, Froville 2014) and had the huge privilige of support from friendly donors over the years, such as the Danish Arts Foundation, the Hvass Foundation and most recently Hanne Lomholdt’s Opera Foundation.

Early years and education

I have always sung and got my first vocal training in the Children’s Choir of the Royal Danish Academy of Music, where I started eight years old.

Parallel to private vocal studies with Anne Margrethe Dahl, I studied philosophy at the University of Copenhagen, until I got accepted both at the Royal Danish Academy of Music (RDAM), Copenhagen, as well as at Universität der Künste, Berlin.

I began my studies in Berlin and continued in Copenhagen, studying with Susanna Eken. Nowadays I share the infinite vocal work with Klavs Lewinsky and Douglas Yates.
